It’s a loooong way to New Zealand and further to Australia. Two full days, three different airlines, four flights with layovers, and one big storm in the US. After our first flight out of Denver was changed 3 times, we did make it to Sacramento, then Honolulu on Southwest. Then Fiji Air and finally Air New Zealand. Our luggage showed up every time and we convinced Immigration to let us through.

Not many choices for food and we were usually in a hurry from one gate to another, so Christmas dinner was “take what’s available.”

We landed in Auckland, drove to Rotorua, and slept. Now the fun can begin!
